W.M. Appraisal Service is a veteran-owned, independent appraisal firm specializing in physical damage appraisals for Commercial Vehicles, RVs, and Specialty Vehicles. I have been a licensed physical damage appraiser since 1995 and I am a proud U.S. Coast Guard Veteran. With discipline, integrity, and attention to detail, I deliver accurate, unbiased appraisals insurance carriers can rely on with confidence.
Before entering the appraisal field, I served as a police officer with advanced accident investigation training, applying those skills over five years in the field. This experience developed a strong foundation in collision analysis, damage documentation, and factual reporting—skills that directly translate into thorough and defensible insurance appraisals.
I also bring extensive hands-on vehicle and equipment experience. I operated heavy equipment for seven years in site construction and have held a Class A Commercial Driver’s License, operating commercial vehicles on and off since 1985. This real-world operational knowledge allows me to accurately assess damage, repair feasibility, and loss impact across a wide range of Commercial and Specialty Vehicles.
In addition, I spent over fifteen years as a supervisor and manager for independent appraisers throughout New England, overseeing appraisal operations and ensuring quality, consistency, and compliance. I am familiar with all aspects of the insurance claims process and well-versed in state regulations governing insurance claims in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Connecticut. Throughout my career, I have worked extensively with major insurance companies, delivering professional appraisals that support efficient, fair, and compliant claim resolution.
